Challenge #03 - Command panel

For this third challenge, we travel through time from the ancient Greek column to a modern command panel. The model is not very detailled on purpose, so it's your job to imagine what could be drawn on it.

Screens, buttons, wires... create the texture you want !

Man, I think I can't participate in this one. Mapzone frequently crashes on my laptop. It can't bear my map for the panel... I hope there will be lot of competitors!

Hi Temaruk,

Does MaPZone crash only with the panel texture or with any texture ?
In the first case, you could send us your .map file so we can see what is wrong with it, in the second case, you could post your hardware specs to help us solve the problem.

Well, It happened before, with the collumn texture. It was also "complex", maybe I have memory issues. I'll do both! Here are my system specs:

It is a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo L7320GW (not the best for CG...)
cpu: Intel Celeron M 1.70GHz
mem: 512 MB (shared with the video card...)
video card: VIA\S3G UniChrome PRO IGP

And here's the .map file. It's far from finished...

I took a look at your map, everything is fine. It's certainly a memory problem as when I load your graph and look at the task manager, it takes up to 560 MB of RAM. Since you only got 512 MB on your laptop, that must be the problem.

You can solve this temporarily by reducing your 1024*1024 filters to 512*512. You should not lose too much detail since the texture size limit for this challenge is actually 512*512.
